About

Ph.D. in Education |  Applied Linguist | Language Educator | TESOL

My research focuses on corpus linguistics and language education in general. I aim to use corpus data and tools to analyze language use in various contexts by different users. So far, I have explored the lexical and syntactic complexities of both spoken and written language in diverse academic contexts. I’m currently focusing on the linguistic features of the newly emerged online academic discourse.
My long-term research objective is to use corpus-based empirical research to inform foreign/second language teaching and learning in practice.

Currently, I'm working as an adjunct professor at the American College of Education and a lead proofreader at Speak.

*I used to work as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Foreign Language Education at Middle East Technical University, Turkey (2018-2022).
